Every year when Mom and Dad would visit, Dad would work in my garden.
He was my professional landscaper (for the price of a Shiner Beer) :)
So we wanted to build a memory garden - a little piece of Texas with his name on it.
John did all the heavy lifting (also for the price of a Shiner Bock)
We put in a waterfall and the tractor from Dad's house in Michigan.
We also let the kids each pick out a rock to add to the garden.
I bought some clearance plants.
I want to landscape around the garden but it will have to wait until
the heat of summer has passed.
Me and the kids with the finished garden.
Some of the signs from Dad's license plate collection.
A few horseshoes for me to remember how lucky I was to have a great Dad.
The finished garden
I miss talking to Dad everyday and this way I can sit out in my front yard
and have a cup of coffee with him every morning.
