We were fortunate enough to take a trip to Atlanta this past week. I had a conference and we stayed with John's Dad north of Atlanta. It was a great trip. We got to see a lot of family. Len and Sue came up to visit for the day, which we really appreciate after they just got back from their US tour (ha, ha) Some that we had not seen in a long time and Kate got to meet her cousins, Emily and Katie from Alabama.
While I attended the conference, the guys kept the kids busy and even found a bounce house in Canton. And even Kate got bouncing and sliding. Tom promises to send the pictures so I will post some of those a little later (He got a good one of John and the kids sliding down the slide together)
We rounded off the trip with a visit to the Atlanta Aquarium. And for those who know Jake well this was a well worth it trip. He loves animals and fish and Kate had a really good time with the fish. They have a touch tank with sting rays and Jake was finally big enough to reach in and touch some. I think he got to touch a few in Cleveland but I think we had to just about dip him at that time. Now he's big enough to reach in himself. Time goes by so fast.
Anyway, great trip but it is nice to be back home and starting to get back into the normal routine of things, unfortunately that means going back to work next week. Oh well, we'll just dream of the next vacation.
